Vlog: From Hopeless to Hopeful: Bobbi’s Story of Stage 4 Cancer to Kayaking
When Bobbi first reached out to us, she was facing one of the most difficult seasons of her life.
After being diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and thyroid cancer, undergoing chemotherapy, and later experiencing recurrence, she found herself struggling with pain, swelling, fatigue, and uncertainty about what the future might hold.
One of the moments that has stayed with us most was hearing Bobbi describe the morning she could not walk down the stairs because the pain in her feet was so severe. She sat and slid down them instead.
Yet Bobbi’s story is not one of defeat.
It is a story of resilience, determination, and learning how to better support her body during an incredibly challenging journey. Through small, consistent changes and a commitment to her health, she began experiencing improvements that gave her hope and helped her reconnect with the life she wanted to live.
In this interview, Bobbi shares her experience navigating cancer treatment, chronic inflammation, recovery, and the lessons she learned about nutrition, self-care, and making herself a priority.
She also shares one of her favorite milestones: the day she was able to pull her kayak out by herself and get back on the water—a moment that symbolized just how far she had come.
We are honored that Bobbi was willing to share her story in hopes that it may encourage other women who are facing health challenges of their own.
Watch the interview below to hear her journey in her own words.
